El Olive- Great Italian food near in Mangmi-dong, on the riverside road roughly halfway between the Jwa-suyoung Bridge (the one with the large circular arch) and Costco, directly across the river from The Sharp Apartments. There is ample parking in the back. If you take a taxi, nearby landmarks to direct your driver are Costco and Hyupseong Renaissance Apartments.

Blowfish- Excellent hamburgers and a variety of other menu items. And you can't go wrong eating beachside at Song Jeong. Open 366 days a year. For Directions go here.

Starface - Better known for being a great bar, Starface on Dalmaji also has a great selection of food. British, Mexican and Italian. If you are looking for a connection, there isn't one --other than it is all good. Map here.

Sunset Lounge - Great BBQ on the roof, near the beach. Definitely try the Ranch Chicken Tacos or the BLT Bagel with real maple bacon. They also deliver in the Haeundae are051-742-2925 Directions

Big Tuna - On the road that borders the backside of Jae-Rae outdoor market in Jangsan. Go for the raw or cooked tuna, a little pricey but excellent grub. Directions

Sushi Miga - Sushi boat style, high end raw. Good stuff and the interior is awesome. Across from the beach, Harbor Town. 051-746-0196 DIrections

An-Ga - Stylish KBBQ. Word has it that they have the best meat in Busan. Check it out for yourself. Jung Dong subway station towards the overpass. Little pricey but worth it. 051-742-7852 Directions

Ganga - Real Indian food. Across from Haeundae Beach. A bit pricey but the real deal. The Chicken Marsala is a favorite. Bring the kids, maybe you can barter their labor for a discount. 051-740-6670 Directions

Taco Senora - A little tough to find, but decent Mexican food. Take the street next to SFUNZ (Haeundae Station) towards the beach. In a little alley on the left near Save Zone. 051-744-4050

Ganesh Indian - Small spot like the one in PNU with cheap, reliable Indian food. Map is here.

Fuzzy Navel - Though known by most for being a great bar, Fuzzy Navel also has some good Mexican. So, have a taco with that ice cold beer. Map Here.

Maris Buffet - Gigormous buffet with everything. A ton of salads and desserts. 30-40,000 KRW. Eat to your heart’s content. Jangsan Station across from Primus. Directions

Somunnan Beef Rib - If you have a preference for the gender of the beef on your plate. 40 years serving only female cows. Go figure. Walk the beach road east and go left at the end,, a few blocks before you get to the RR tracks. 051-746-0003 Directions

House on a Hill - Looks like a Swiss chalet with the high ceilings. Very laid back, serves a variety of food: pizza, pasta to lobster. On Dalmaji Hill.

Jagalchi Eel - BBQ eel prepared in a spicy sauce. Goes great with soju, beer or whatever. Very popular with Korean celebrities, especially during PIFF. Near the Paradise Hotel. 051-742-5387

Pho Kim - Vietnamese food in SFUNZ shopping center near the Haeundae subway station. Excellent soup, great noodles. Go for the bbq pork over cold vermicelli noodles. Watch out though, it's really spicy. 051-740-4868 Directions

Guess Who? Family Restaurant - Coming from the Gwangan Subway station, make a right at the beach road. They have just about everything on their buffet and the prices are very reasonable. Directions

Saigon “Pho”- Vietnamese restaurant. Across the street from the Starbucks just off the beach. Big yellow sign. It is on the ame street as Hollywood Star. Directions

Four Season Raw Fish - Be prepared to drop some fairly decent coin, but the food is great. Real Korean style. Set meals run from 30-50,000. Don’t be a wimp, try the live octopus. At the Millak Raw Fish Center 2F. Directions

East Village Cafe - The cafe is beautifully decorated with great coffee, hand baked pastries, free WiFi, and a pretty damn good potbingsu. It is located next to Haagendaz Ice Cream and Hotel Homers with a view of the beach and the Gwangan Bridge.

Breeze Burns - Have a hamburger on the beach. The most recommended spot on our “Busan Haps” Facebook group. Directions

Korean Natural Food Restaurant - Vegetarian food. If you don’t like meat, try a little Korean and say, “Gogi-no” and cross your arms in front of your chest. 051-751-5534 Directions

Cusco - Dig on some spit fired chicken. The rice-stuffed chicken is popular. If you can stuff the chicken into the rice get free meals for life. 051-624-0990 Directions

O’Brien’s Irish Pub - Gaya - Bar with a great selection of food. Subway Gaya station, Exit 2. 051-894-6541

Florians’s - The Italian buffet is 20,000 Won features Tomato and Mozarella, delicious Italian Beef Steak, raw fish, sausage, chicken, fruit, dessert. Wine is 4,000 a glassTake subway exit 2 heading south on the left hand side of the street. To get there go straight a couple of blocks (about 100 meters) until you reach a well hidden McDonald's on your left. When you turn left on that street you will see a TGI Friday's up ahead. Florian's is located across the street caddy cornered from TGIF with a big sign that says "Italian Salad Bar. Directions

Loving Hut - Hardcore Noble Vegan food. As their home page says: "Loving Hut was created with a vision that all beings could live in peace, love and harmony with each other and the planet." Take the harmony subway line 1 to Seomyeon, then the eutopian Exit 2, left. It's across from Outback. Try the “Noble Spaghetti” or Spicy noodles. Directions

Hamkyung Myeon-Ok - Cold noodle restaurant, excellent during the humid summer months. Behind Lotte near the Baroni Hotel. 051891-3000 Directions

Fuzzy Navel - Like their location in Haeundae, the Seomyeon Fuzzy Navel also cooks up some good Mexican food. Map Here.

The Pancake - Western-style breakfast food as well as pasta dishes. French toast, blueberry pancakes, and the Brunch Set (two pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, hash-browns and coffee). On the Pagoda/YBM side of the subway, around the corner from Coldstone.

Judie Nine Brau - A brewery with good bar food. Seomyeon station, Exit 2, walk three blocks, make a left, across from the Taehwa pharmacy. 051-667-7979 Directions

Buffalo - Has a strange logo with a Buffalo strangling a chicken. No Buffalo on the menu, just great chicken. If you are facing Lotte Dept. Store, take the street on the left side. It is down the block on the left as you reach the back edge of Lotte. 051-805-3512 Directions

Golm OK - Two blocks more down the same street as Buffalo, on the corner. Great BBQ and excellent side dishes.

Eva’s - Serving western-style brunch, lunch and dinner selections in an open air bar. You can fall asleep on the big sofa cushions after your meal. 051-628-5653. Directions

Bae Dae Po - Korean BBQ seafood and meat. About 75 meters from “Buy the Way” towards Mega-mart. Directions

Eu Dae Di - BBQ pork. Across from Thursday Party. Both here and Bae Dae Po have signs written in Korean. So start learning. Directions

Pasta Factory - Head down the main road towards Pukyung Univ and make a right at the Dunkin Donuts. Try the creamy tomato basil and chicken. Staff speaks English. Owner Jackey Jung is a great guy. Directions

Maesaengiga - How about a little green algae food? High in iron and minerals, good for your health and actually quite tasty. Kyungsung station, Exit 5, head west, make a left at Hyundai Officetel, first right a block down. 051-622-0611

Baekdu - Side dishes galore. Just opposite the Hyundai officetel on the main street. Kyungsung station,
Exit # 6.

Shabana - If you are looking for authentic Indian food then Shabana is the place to go. Across from Buy the Way on the 3rd floor. 051-621-4821

Bey Kebap House - Great Turkish food from the same folks that have the cart you often see wheeling around Kyungsung with those excellent wraps. The restaurant is right across from the Family Mart. 051-625-0042 Directions

Burger & Pasta - This is the latest incarnation of the Thursday Party Empire. On the Same street as the Dunkin Donuts. Great service --the staff even welcomes you when you walk in the door. Open air, with patio seating.

The Coffee Pot - More a cafe than a restaurant, but they are the only place I have found with homemade blueberry pancakes. Head towards Pukyung Univ. On the opposite side of the road. Directions

Naraso - Beef bbq’d at your table, with a hint of bamboo flavor. Open 7/24/365. 051-628-8814 Directions

Wazwan Indian Restaurant - The real deal, from a family that has cooks living all over the world cooking Indian food. For more check out this review from Jen Sotham.

Fish & Pork - BBQ Shell fish is their specialty. Cheap. Can sit outside. There are a number of good restaurants nearby. Staff is made up mostly of PNU students that usually speak English. PNU subway, exit 1, make a left and it is on the corner.

Won Chon - Ultra cool place with all kinds of “real Korea” feeling. There are a variety of traditional Korean dishes from bulgogi (marinated meat) to chicken feet. Located on the same one way street as The Basement. Directions

Kebabistan - Listing this Turkish restaurant is probably a waste of ink. Everyone has been there. If not, head out gate 1 PNU Subway Station towards PNU. On the left past the main road.

Pho - At same spot as Kebabistan is a great little Vietnamese restaurant. 2nd floor with a great view of the PNU student throng. Real Vietnamese coffee. Try the spicy sauce rice noodles and the fried spring rolls.

Ganesh - Little hole in the wall Indian place run by what my friend calls a “Hippie Ajuma.” Cheap eats, chai lattes, good curry. Make immediate right coming out of PNU gate and it is a half block down on the left.

Taco’s Family - Nice hole in the wall with fantastic burritos. But, don’t be surprised if there is Clam Chowder on special that day or even lasagna. It is 1/4 block just south of The Crossroads. 010-5688-6303

Loving Hut - Veggie masters, slightly cultish, but meat there be none. On the corner across from Won Chon

Dongnae Area: BBQ Beef Ribs
Great meat, good prices with a free (granted, basic) salad bar. Go out of the Dongnae subway station exit one, cross the street going west towards Mandeok Tunnel. It's a two-story building on the right side with parking below. About a 5-min. walk..
