Blowfish - Great bar/restaurant on Song Jeong Beach about a 5 minute taxi ride from Jangsan Subway Station. It is referred to as "Thailand in the front, Afghanistan in the back." Great staff.

Murpii Bar – Located on the beach at Novotel. Swank. Disco step back into the 70's but in a cool way.

Club Elune - Busan's premiere club with the world's top DJ's and plenty of room to move around. There is a dress code, so you know. Located in the Paradise Hotel

U2 Bar – Dance Bar/Live Bands. Darts. U2 has been popular forever. Gone through some serious remodelling after the flood and the lounge life is now full on. One minute walk from the beach, directly in front of Novotel.

Sharky's - Located on the 2nd floor of Pale de CZ next to the Paradise Hotel. Great food, right next to the beach and Shuffleboard! Directions

Maktum - Dance club in Haeundae near the beach by the Paradise Hotel. Big in the summer and not bad in the winter for getting the groove on with the local DJs.

Starface – On Dalmaji Hill in Haeundae. Good food ranging from Mexican to Italian to British. Awesome house bands, fri/sat all you can drink only 20,000 KRW 051-742-0600. Map here.

Neo StarFace – A nice big bar with large stage and dance floor. They have free salsa lessons on certain nights of the week.

Fuzzy Navel – Care for nightly fire shows? Yeah, why not? Also a good selection of drinks and friendly staff. They also have great Tacos.

Rock n' Roll House – New bar & grill on the Haeundae scene with great views of the sea. 14th floor of the Sea Star Building. 051-742-5553

Fuzzy Naval - Similar in style and atmosphere to the one in Haeundae. Ditto on the fire show. A great spot to get great drinks.

WA Bar - Korean chain of beer bars. Famous for its very wide selection of bottled beers laid out in large ice chests. The lighting is cool and the atmosphere friendly.

The Old Record Bar - 'Round the corner from Cinus theatre in Seomyeon. Good strong cocktails and a wide selection of music on Vinyl and CD. If they haven't got what you want they'll find it on the net. Customers are well looked after by 'Uncle' - the owner

Foxy - 2 story dance club in the heart of Seomyeon. Packed during the weekends. There is a private room you can rent with friends so you have access to the dance floor and still escape the mass. Behind Judy's Taehwa

Rock n’ Roll Bar - Across the street from the Lotte Hotel (look for the large sign with Kurt Cobain down the small street perpendicular to Lotte). 3000 KRW cocktails, live music and a laid back atmosphere. Pool Table. 051-818-3425

Guri Bar - Happening little bar behind Lotte Hotel. Good staff, drinks and usually a lot of foreigners hanging out. Find the GS25 store behind Lottel Hotel, then head down that little street. It will be on the left just past the V Motel.

O’Brien’s - The coolest "dive" bar in Busan. Just past Seomyeon on the #2 subway line, Gaya station exit #2. Very relaxed atmosphere. Pat owns the place now and is a great bartender. Slammin' burgers. Live Music on occasion. 051-994-6541

The New Foxy - Recently opened after a major  renovation, this club is equipped with a quality sound system and visuals to keep you entertained. Great dancing, good drinks --what more do you need?

Club Fabric - An underground club in Kyungsung, good vibe in its unique atmosphere. Nice place to chillax on your weekend night. Awesome interior

New York 88 – Stylish with a good view of the Kyung Sung Great selection of import beers and cocktails. Dart board, great music including Hip-Hop. They have a wide selection of beers and cocktails, buy 4 get one for free. 051-622-6988

HQ - New bar just opened up. Open Air with tables in the window. Make a left at family mart. 2 bldgs past. On the left. Johnny is usually in a good spirits.

Burger & Pasta - Also listed in the food section for their good grub, but also have some good wines and chill atmosphere to talk and drink.

Ol’55 – A music bar with character to spare. Live music on the weekends from some of Busan’s best
musicians. Pool table. They have a open mic on Wednesdays.

Eva’s – Open air bar. Happy hour 10-12pm, Thursday is lady’s bottomless. Uhm, drinks, that is. 15,000. In-Jung runs the bar and is a great hostess. Definitely get some food when she is in the kitchen. 051-628-5653

Metro Dart Bar – Big bar with lots of good seating for large parties. Home to the best Korean dart players in Busan. Stick to the pool table if you are weary. Open until you leave. 010-9323-5955

Cafe Radio – Cozy & (usually) calm 2nd floor spot near side parking entrance of 21st Century Building. Alcholol & coffee drinks. Music: post-bop & classic 60's rock & roll. Good to duck into with friends or alone with a book. Polite staff. Home to Wordz Only events

The Basement – One of the most popular bars in Busan for the past several years. Great Korean Staff. Live music, pool, hookahs and an excellent staff. Open Mic Tues, German-Reggae on Wed, DJ's Thurs/Fri. Live music on Sat. Try the Nachos Grande, it is excellent.

Soultrane – One of the area’s oldest and most well known foreign bars. In the basement beneath Crossroads. Pool table.

Crossroads – Open Mic on Thurs. Great music. 051-515-1181. Right in the heart of the PNU district.

Red Bottle – The Red Bottle bar in PNU, just across from the Crossroads. Friendly, English speaking bar staff. Open every evening at 6 until whenever. Guiness, Miller & Max on tap. More info here.

Monks - Not the bar it used to be, but who knows, could be primed for a comeback. Big stage with the occassional Korean indie bands.
