‘Young Stars’ Ad Competition Attracts 150 University Students from 12 Countries

150 students from 12 different countries will participate in this year's 'Young Stars Ad Competition 2012' which takes place at the Busan International Ad Festival at BEXCO next week.

BUSAN, South Korea -- Later this month, 45 teams from 12 countries will participate in the 'Young Stars Ad Competition 2012', which is an ad competition for university students. The Committee of the Busan International Ad Festival accepted applications online from March, aimed at university students from around the world. 92 teams from 12 countries applied to take part, and the Organizing Committee selected the teams through a stringent screening process.

‘Young Stars' will be held at the same time as the 'Busan International Ad Festival', from August 23 to 25, and contestants will make advertisements in video and printed format related to a certain topic. Gold, silver and bronze prizes, as well as a special prize, will be awarded to the highest scoring teams at the Closing Ceremony of the Busan International Ad Festival after judging by foreign and domestic experts.

As a result of the online registration process, the number of applicants has jumped this year, and now includes teams not only from Asia, but from the rest of the world, including Portugal, Holland, Poland, and Chile.
