The Busan Cinema Center and Busan eFM are hosting a series of film screenings without subtitles every last Monday of the month.

BUSAN, South Korea - Busan Cinema Center and Busan's first English radio broadcasting station, Busan eFM (FM 90.5), agreed on May 15, 2012, to jointly host an ‘Open Cinema’ series of film screenings where movies will be screened without subtitles, every last Monday of the month.

The Open Cinema series targets Busan-based Korean and foreign residents who like to watch movies and are interested in learning English. After watching a movie without subtitles at the Cinematheque in Busan Cinema Center, the presenter of Busan eFM's popular Cine Concerto daily radio show will present some of the expressions heard in the movie, in English.

The first movie, Mr. Popper's Penguins, starring Jim Carrey, will be screened on Monday, May 28, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Cinematheque in Busan Cinema Center. People can sign up at the Busan eFM website (www.befm.or.kr). The first 200 people to register will enjoy watching movies for free.
