Girl's Generation Album a Big Hit in Japan

Girls' Generation has had a very successful entry into the Japanese market with their first Japanese language album.

The nine-member all-girls group Girls' Generation's new album sold over 500,000 copies to go double gold. The album, entitled "Girls Generation," is their first in Japanese, was released June 1st.
The group has become the most successful girl's group to date in the country, and were also the first Korean group to top the Oricon charts.
They are now planning for a six city, 14 concert tour of Japan, before returning to Seoul for a concert at Olympic Park, July 23rd and 24th.
