T-ara's Hwayoung Suffers Wardrobe Malfunction

SEOUL - Girl  Group T-ara had a week of ups and downs, culminating with 18-year-old Hwayoung's left breast being exposed on national TV.

During a live broadcast of the show Inkigayo on SBS, the group was performing their song "Lovey Dovey", when the camera focused on the young singer doing a dance solo, unaware that her breast became exposed. A still-shot of the incident was also taken and circulated around the Internet, becoming the most searched topic of the day on Naver and Daum.

The singer has become very distraught over the incident.

"Hwayoung is still very young. She is frightened and is still in a state of shock because of this incident," said a spokesperson for the company in a statement.

"It is purely an accident. The tape holding her microphone to her underwear came loose because of their vigorous dancing," officials of the agency revealed. "We feel deeply regretful about the accident that occurred on Inkigayo." 

The group had been riding high after winning the 'triple crown' on the show.

Ham Eun-jeong, another member of the band, also injured her left knee last week when she slipped and fell on a snowy road. The recovery period is around six weeks, forcing the cancellation of the reality program "We Got Married".
