Usain Bolt Disqualifed In Daegu

DAEGU, South Korea - Three-year 100m sprinter and world champion Usain Bolt was eliminated from the 100 meter finals Sunday night at the 2011 World Track and Field Championships in Daegu, disappointing fans who came to see the 2008 Olympic Gold Medialist.

Bolt had a false start in the event, and under new "one and done" rule which took effect in 2010, was disqualified from the race. Asafa Powell, Tyson Gay and Usain Bolt were not in the race, leaving many fans upset that the world's best weren't in the final. Powel and Gay were out to injury, and Bolt was almost assured an easy victory. Fellow countryman Yohan Blake Blake won his first world title by clocking his season best record of 9.92 seconds. The 21-year-old crossed the finish line first, while American Walter Dix finished second in 10.08, and Kim Collins of Saint Kitts and Nevis came third in 10.09. 

"Looking for tears? Not going to happen," he said after his disqualification.
