Writing Group

Writing Group meets up every Sunday at 6:00pm.

Place: Exit 10, Starbucks in Seomyeon

Writing Group has been active for two years now, and it is still going strong.  We meet up once a week, on Sundays, and read what we have written throughout the week.  At the end of the meeting, we select a prompt for the following week.  Any style of writing is welcome.  Poetry, stories, and non-fiction.  We only ask that each piece is kept under seven minutes; however, we have been known to allow longer. 

It is a great creative outlet in Busan and a wonderful way to meet up people.  It's a lot of fun and every week, we tend to have new people join us, so we are always hearing something new and different.  Just outside of exit 10 at Seomyeon station is a Starbucks that is usually less crowded than most other coffee shops, and this will be the usual meeting place.  Ever week at the meeting we decide on the writing prompt for the following week.  It's by no means mandatory, and everyone is encouraged to come even if they weren't able to do the prompt for that week.  If it is your first time (or you miss a meeting), feel free to contact me about the writing prompt for the upcoming week.  Each prompt will also be posted on the facebook group (linked below).  We encourage anyone who is interested to join, even if you think you can't write well; most people think that they can't write very well, but they can.  It's about fun and helping each other do something we all enjoy, so there's no need to not come out of fear.  Even if you don't have the time for the writing prompt, please come anyway; your input on someone else's work could still be invaluable.
