Some general guidelines for submitting a proposal to the 2011 National Conference:
We welcome session proposals from ELT practitioners who have experience of working in the Korean context. Proposals may only be submitted through the webform (click here) and before the closing date ofDecember 31st, 2010. All submissions should be relevant to the conference theme and should be written in English.
Vetting will take place in January, so you should expect to hear from us in February.

Types of session:

50-minute or 90-minute presentations. These can be on any topic relevant to ELT in Korea, and should have some practical application for attendees.

50-minute or 90-minute teacher training sessions. These may cover more basic aspects of language teaching (but should still relate to the Korean context) and should provide attendees with materials they can use in the classroom.

50-minute or 90-minute technology sessions. For attendees with differing levels of proficiency, these sessions should show how to effectively use technology in the classroom.

Research presentations (25 minutes) - these should present findings that have practical applications for classroom teachers and/or administratrors in Korean EFL of similar settings.

Pecha Kucha presentations - 20 slides for 20 seconds each - all done in 6 minutes and 40 seconds. It's fun and fast moving and should only be tried by professionals. Themes related to ELT in general are acceptable. (To run this kind of session, we will need at least 5 presenters)
