BUSAN- If you are looking for a view into the window of the peninsula's turbulent past that saw it go from repressive dictatorship to what is today the 13th largest economy in the world, then Noh Suntag has his hand on the drapes.
Through March 28th GoEun Museum in Haeundae will feature Noh's self-titled series, "Lunatic Fildelity."
The South Korean native creates his photographs in North and South Korea and, according to the Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart Gallery in Germany, which displayed hundreds of his photos in 2007, Noh "is interested in the ambivalence and breaks within and between the two societies (North and South): their mirror relationship, the military presence and ideological extremes on both sides."
Born in Seoul in 1971, Noh ranks among the most highly regarded photo artists in South Korea. He will also give a talk on several viewing dates. Contact GoEun Museum for more information.
