BUSAN, South Korea -- Song Seung-joon pitched five innings of four hit ball, and three Lotte relievers shut down the Samsung offense as the Giants tied Samsung 0-0 Friday afternoon. 

Cho Seung-hwan led Lotte with two hits, as Lotte hitters struggled to also hit the ball combining for seven hits off four Samsung pitchers.

Exhibition games do not go into extra innings to decide a winner.


 

NC Dinos Struggle in their Opening Exhibition Game

CHANGWON, South Korea -- The NC Dinos played their first exhibition game in the KBO in team's history, but fell 6-1 to Nexen at home Saturday afternoon.

Nexen jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the second before adding four more in the fourth to take a commanding 6-0 lead. NC managed to get on the scoreboard in the sixth to cut the lead to 6-1. NC was held to four hits in the game while also committing three errors.

Giants Add Veteran Slugger Jang

BUSAN, South Korea -- The Lotte Giants have added veteran slugger Jang Sung-ho in a trade with Hanwha yesterday. They acquired the 35-year-old slugger in exchange for pitcher Song Chang-hyun, 23, a third-round pick in the 2013 season draft.

Last season with the Eagles, he hit .263 with 52 RBI, 112 hits and nine homers. He has a career .297 batting percentage with 216 homers, 2,007 hits and 1,000 RBI.
