The 2nd Annual Unofficial Polar Bear Swim for Charity

BUSAN, South Korea -- People may think it crazy to venture into the waters of Haeundae in January, but it is an old tradition in even colder parts of the world. In the Netherlands, Canada and the USA, where the most popular Polar Bear events are held annually, as many as 10,000 people turn out to take an icy swim in the middle of winter.

BUSAN, South Korea -- The band is comprised of four members: Shane "Sly" Sylvestre, a Naval Communicator who plays guitar and handles most of the lead vocal duties; Brant Dame, a Hull Technician on the ship, plays lead guitar and does some vocal work; Diffey, a Maritime Engineer who plays bass guitar and vocals; and Brad Robinson, also a Naval Communicator, on drums and vocals.
