BUSAN, South Korea - Busan Metropolitan City is hosting the 13th Busan Tourism Photo Contest to promote Busan as a beautiful and dynamic city.

Subject matter

· Natural environment, festivals, folk culture, cultural heritage, and other tourism resources of Busan including:

    -Experience tour programs in Busan

    -Local delicacies (Hoddeok at BIFF Square, ddeokbokki, Busan fishcake, Gijang seaweed, Doejigukbab, Jipbuljangeo etc)

    -New tourism resources in Busan such as Busan Cinema Center, Galmaetgil footpaths, National Maritime Museum, Moontan Road, etc.


Eligibility and application

   · The contest is open to anyone.

   · Each photo should be an unmounted print measuring 11 inches by 14 inches without edges.

SUNCHEON, South Korea -- Mark Eaton is a published fine art photographer who exhibits in public and private venues internationally. He regularly contributes to art and news publications, both hard copy and online. Happily married and the father of three successful and entrepreneurial daughters, Mark and his wife reside in Suncheon. Some of his work can found at www.eatonmark.com.

Mark Eaton will participate in a group exhibition at Jami Gallery in Gwangju, Jeollanam-do, South Korea from Saturday, May 19 to Thursday, May 31. The title of the exhibit is “World Art Number One at the Jami,” curated by Doug Stuber. Mark Eaton will introduce some of his new figure nude photography during this exhibition.

Choi Ji-woo’s Photo Exhibit Continues

BUSAN, South Korea - Famed Korean actress and Busan city ambassador Choi Ji-woo’s photography collection is once again being exhibited this year. The 36-year-old actress became famous for roles in the Korean dramas Beautiful Days, Winter Sonata and Stairway to Heaven. The collection will be displayed on the third floor of the Taejongdae Observatory in Yeongdo District, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Admission is free. 051-403-1062

Nude Korean Artist Creates a Stir

Korean-American artist, Miru Kim, who is known for her nude photos in various cities around the world was reportedly arrested in Istanbul, apprehended by police after a citizen reported her for taking nude photographs in an Islamic mosque in the Turkish capital according to news reports.

Kim, a native of Stoneham, Massachusetts who was raised in Seoul, said that her project in Turkey was funded by Samsung.
